A Crimean “frolic” on the Internet and… violated the right to freedom of conscience and religion

Employees of the Center for Combating Extremism of the Republican Ministry of Internal Affairs, together with colleagues from the regional Department of the Federal Security Service, as a result of operational activities, revealed facts of violations of the right to freedom of conscience and religion. A very “principled” Crimean was detained, just the same “fierce theomachist”.
It was established that a 31-year-old resident of Belogorsk posted materials offensive to an Orthodox believer on his page in one of the popular social networks. By publishing distorted images of the Moscow Kremlin churches, Christian icons and saints, he showed his hostile attitude towards Orthodox Christians, encouraging other citizens to show hatred, enmity towards the cultural tradition of Christianity.— reported in the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Republic of Crimea.
As a result of operational-search measures, the suspect was detained with the forceful support of the special forces of the Russian Guard. At the place of residence of the person involved, technical means were found and seized, with the help of which he published materials that offended the religious feelings of believers. The man explained that he deliberately posted offensive publications.
The materials collected by the operatives were sent to the investigating authorities for a procedural decision.
