A Crimean man almost killed his own sister. What do drunken quarrels lead to?
CrimeaPRESS reports:
The Bakhchisaray district prosecutor’s office supported the state prosecution in a criminal case against a local resident. The Crimean citizen was found guilty under paragraph “h” of Part 2 of Art. 111 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (intentional infliction of grievous bodily harm using an object used as a weapon).
The court found that the man, while intoxicated, entered into a conflict with his sister. Taking a knife from the table, the defendant stabbed the victim in the chest area— reported the Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Crimea.
The court, agreeing with the position of the state prosecutor, sentenced the man to 3 years and 6 months in prison to be served in a maximum security correctional colony. The verdict did not enter into legal force.
