A Crimean man is accused of double murder: he beat his acquaintances to death with a bat.

The Crimean prosecutor’s office approved an indictment in a criminal case against a 61-year-old resident of the region. The Crimean citizen is accused under paragraph “a” of Part 2 of Art. 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (murder).
According to investigators, in September last year the accused, while at the place of residence of the injured man and woman in the village of Voskhod in the Yalta urban district, as a result of the conflict that arose, struck them multiple times with his hands, feet and a baseball bat on the head and body. The man and woman died as a result of their injuries.— reported the Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Crimea.
The accused fled the scene, but was quickly detained by internal affairs officers.
With the approved indictment, the criminal case was sent to the Supreme Court of the Republic of Crimea for consideration on the merits.
