A Crimean woman came up with a “scheme”: how to receive benefits and “children’s” payments… without giving birth

In the Simferopol region, a woman will appear in court on charges of fraud in receiving child benefits. The Crimean woman is accused under Part 1 of Art. 159.2 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (fraud in receiving payments).

According to the investigation, a 40-year-old woman illegally acquired a fake child’s birth certificate, using which she applied to the Department of Labor and Social Protection of the Population of the Administration of the Simferopol District with applications for a one-time benefit at the birth of a child, a monthly child care benefit, as well as receiving maternal capital. Thus, the woman illegally received more than 800 thousand rubles, which she used to repay a previously issued loan.— reported the prosecutor’s office.

The criminal case was sent to the Simferopol District Court for consideration on the merits.
