The expert council of the All-Russian art laboratory Znanie. The authors selected 12 singers of songs and 5 singers of poems who came close to the main goal — performance at the Gala concert on the Constitution Day of the Russian Federation on December 12 as part of the International Exhibition and Forum «Russia». The concert will be a bright logical conclusion to the new patriotic project of the Russian Society “Knowledge” this year.
Participants in the Gala concert will be performers of poetry and songs from 13 regions of Russia, including the Republic of Crimea, whose resident Kamelia Pedan will perform a song of her own composition for those gathered at VDNKh. In total, more than 700 applications were considered within the framework of the project.
The mentors for the singers were the Honored Artist of Russia, First Deputy Chairman of the Culture Committee of the State Duma of the Russian Federation Denis Maidanov, war correspondent, comic book author and rap singer Akim Apachev, composer, producer, public figure, People’s Artist of the Russian Federation Igor Matvienko.
In addition, singer, composer, People’s Artist of the Russian Federation Oleg Gazmanov joined the number of mentors. He noted that each participant in the Art Laboratory is already a winner, as he carries an important mission, glorifying our huge country through his creativity. The poet and artistic director of the Sergei Yesenin State Museum in Moscow, Vlad Malenko, works with the authors and performers of poems.
In order to select the finalists, mentors and members of the expert council met with the authors who were on the project’s longlist. This was not just a casting, but communication in the format of a live dialogue, during which applicants received truly valuable and useful advice for their future creative development.
The final of the Knowledge.Authors project is a Gala concert dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the Constitution of the Russian Federation. It will be held at the International Exhibition and Forum “Russia” at VDNKh in pavilion No. 57 “Russia – My History” on December 12 as part of an educational program, the general partner of which is the Russian Society “Knowledge”.
