A criminal case has been opened in Crimea for illegal hunting. Poachers can get real terms
CrimeaPRESS reports:
In Crimea, the Department of Inquiry of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Bakhchisaray District initiated a criminal case against two local residents who are suspected of illegal hunting.
At night, the police department received a message from employees of the state forestry. The hunting inspector said that in the forest near the village of Plotinnoye, Bakhchisarai district, they found a VAZ Niva car, in which there is a deer carcass covered with rags and branches. There were no poachers on site. The police officers who arrived at the scene, when examining the carcass of the animal, found an inlet in the region of the shoulder blade on the right.
As a result of operational-search activities carried out by officers of the police department and the regional FSB, two citizens suspected of illegal activities were identified and detained. They turned out to be 22 and 25-year-old residents of the village of Plotinnoye, who confessed to committing a crime— reported in the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Republic of Crimea.
At the place of residence of one of them, a single-barreled smooth-bore gun of 32 caliber was seized, from which, presumably, the animal was killed. In addition, a carcass of a deer and a car found at the scene were seized.
According to the suspects, they were hunting in the forest without a proper permit, as a result of which they shot a male red deer. The amount of damage caused to the state from the illegal actions of these persons amounted to about 70 thousand rubles.
As part of a criminal case initiated on the grounds of a crime under Part 1 of Art. 258 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, a number of examinations have been appointed, and the legality of weapons storage is being established. Poachers face penalties ranging from large fines to imprisonment for up to two years.
