A criminal case of beating and murder in 2018 will be considered in the Simferopol region

In the Simferopol region, a criminal case was brought to court regarding the infliction of grievous bodily harm resulting in his death in 2018 to a resident of the peninsula.
The investigation department for the Simferopol region established that in February 2018, a drunk man who did not have a permanent place of residence was near a store in the village. Zarechnoye, Simferopol district, after a short conflict with a previously unfamiliar local resident, struck him several blows to the head and torso, after which he fled the scene of the crime. The victim was taken to a medical facility, where he died a week later from his injuries.— reported the Investigative Committee.
During the operational investigative measures, the identity of the person involved in the crime was established and he was put on the wanted list. In May of this year, the location of the defendant was established by Crimean police officers in cooperation with the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Zaporozhye region in Melitopol, where he was detained.
The criminal investigation has now been completed. All necessary investigative actions have been completed. The preliminary investigation authorities accuse the man of intentionally causing grievous harm to health, dangerous to human life, resulting in the death of the victim through negligence (Part 4 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). Previously, at the request of the investigation, he was chosen in absentia as a preventive measure in the form of detention, where he remains to this day.— reported in Sledkom.
The criminal case was sent to the Simferopol District Court for consideration on the merits.
