A criminal case on the creation of a drug laboratory is being investigated in Sevastopol

In Sevastopol, a criminal case is being investigated on the production and attempted illegal sale of a narcotic drug on a large scale by a previously convicted 35-year-old drug addicted local resident.

According to investigators, in order to create an underground production of the synthetic drug «mephedrone», the suspect purchased in the shadow segment of the Internet the necessary precursors and instructions, personal respiratory protection, chemical and laboratory equipment (glass flasks, cylinders and test tubes, polymer canisters, a laboratory metal stand, electric vibrating machine), as well as packaging devices.

The attacker organized a drug laboratory in the utility room of a private household belonging to his elderly relatives, where he lived. Observing the measures of secrecy, put on stream the production of «synthetics». It was not possible to implement the plan. The illegal activity of the person involved was suppressed by operatives of the Drug Control Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the city of Sevastopol with the power support of the Grom special forces detachment.

The man explained to law enforcement officers that buying drugs for him turned out to be an expensive pleasure, so he decided to set up production himself, wanting to earn money at the same time. During the search, police officers seized drug laboratory equipment, as well as four zip bags with ready-made criminal goods and a liquid, which, according to the expert’s conclusion, contains more than 250 grams of “mephedrone” in terms of dry matter , — reported in the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the city of Sevastopol.
