A criminal story with a suspension — not according to Dumas and not from a car service, but from a district police officer in the city of Saki

In the city of Saki, a woman turned to the police, asking for help in returning a gold pendant worth 15,000 rubles. A previously convicted resident of the district, in whose house the stolen jewelry was found, fell under suspicion, an investigation was launched.

A 53-year-old resident of the Saki district applied to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia «Saksky» with a statement about the theft of jewelry. According to the applicant, the gold pendant was stolen from her apartment. The woman also said that she suspects a new acquaintance of stealing, whom she invited to the house the day before in order to determine the amount of work on cosmetic repairs. The damage caused amounted to 15 thousand rubles.

The local police commissioner Yevgeny Lavrik established and worked out a previously convicted resident of the Saki district who fell under suspicion for involvement in the theft. The check brought positive results — a stolen pendant was found in the house of a 34-year-old villager— told the details in the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Republic of Crimea.

Previously convicted confessed to the police in the theft. The stolen property was seized and returned to the victim. The investigator of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia «Saksky» initiated a criminal case on the grounds of a crime under part 2 of article 158 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation («theft»), an investigation was launched. The suspect is under house arrest. Previously convicted again faces criminal liability — up to five years in prison.
