A dozen leading Russian strongmen will reveal the strongest in Evpatoria on October 26

The 12 brightest and strongest athletes who showed the best results at the strongman competitions in 2024 will compete in five spectacular exercises and relay races. These are Alexander Klokov (Lipetsk region), Dmitry Skosyrsky (Omsk), Yuri Kapustin (Khabarovsk), Valentin Akimov (Smolensk), Egor Sorokoletov (Kerch), Vladimir Bulgakov (Kursk), Konstantin Koldunov (Simferopol), Roman Druzhinin (Irkutsk), Pyotr Martynenko (Khakassia), Evgeny Gavrilenko (Saratov), ​​Konstantin Klimash (Vladivostok) and Dmitry Samoilov (Belgorod).

The judges will be Mikhail Shivlyakov (chief judge; Omsk, face of the heroic movement “The Strongest Nation in the World”), Maxim Dvoretsky (Moscow, vice-president of the Russian Strongman Federation, curator of the development of the heroic movement “The Strongest Nation in the World” in the Central Federal District), Sergey Gorkov ( representative of the heroic movement “The Strongest Nation in the World” in Kerch) and Sergei Kharlamov (curator of the development of the heroic movement “The Strongest Nation in the World” in the Volga Federal District).

In the competition program:

• Lifting a heavy log weighing 150 kg above your head a number of times in one minute;
• Running relay race: carrying a yoke weighing 400 kg for 20 meters + carrying “suitcases” weighing 150 kg each for 20 meters;
• Towing a truck crane weighing 22 tons at speed in a special harness along a rope. Distance 20 meters;
• Walking with the “Bogatyr Carousel” in a circle with a diameter of 12 meters, weight 330 kg, load on the athlete 250 kg, for a distance.

Athletes will be divided into two divisions (6 people in each).

In the fifth and final exercise, only two winners in their divisions will compete. Standing opposite each other, they will throw a stone ball weighing 180 kg over a bar 125 cm high. The one who completes the most throws of the ball will win and become the owner of the title “The Strongest Man of Russia 2024”, or, if the number of throws is equal, the one who scored more points in previous exercises.

Also included in the event program is an attempt to establish a pair Russian Record for towing railway equipment — the only narrow-gauge tram operating in Russia weighing more than 20 tons. The attempt will be made by two Crimean athletes — the legendary strongman from Sudak Jamshid Ismatillaev and famous powerlifter from Bakhchisarai Dmitry Alekseev.

The paired record-breaking format was not chosen by chance. The motto of this achievement is the motto of the Republic of Crimea “Prosperity in Unity!” Only together, through common efforts, can we overcome any difficulties and win. The organizers decided to put this meaning into this record, consistent with the celebration of National Unity Day.

If successful, the record will be included in the Register of Records of the heroic movement “The Strongest Nation in the World”, as well as in the Book of Records of Russia. The parameters of the record will be recorded by Mikhail Ivanov, an expert in the heroic movement “The Strongest Nation in the World”, and Mikhail Shivlyakov, an expert from the Book of Records of Russia “Russian Marine”.
