A dropper was punished in Crimea. The most offensive — in rubles

CrimeaPRESS reports:

Droppers, or drops (from the English “drop” — throw) are people whom criminals (most often online fraudsters) use to conduct illegal financial transactions. The functionality of the dropper is to receive funds to your own (or those provided by the fraudster) bank cards and accounts and their subsequent cashing or transfer to other persons or organizations. Not free, of course. This is the main temptation — “easy money”. The dropper thinks that he is just an intermediary; amounts flow through his bank card, leaving a percentage. But he doesn’t think about the legality of such fraud. But in vain. The two categories most vulnerable to involvement in drug-dropping schemes are young people and older people. For the former, this is a fairly “simple” way to make money. More than 60% of all droppers are young people aged 14 to 24 years. They often do not fully understand the severity of the possible consequences and responsibility for the acts committed.

In a word, it was a saying… A fairy tale, that is, a harsh reality will follow.

In the Leninsky district of Crimea, the prosecutor’s office managed to recover 370 thousand rubles from the dropper. It’s a shame, right? Instead of a “percentage of profit,” you need to give back all the money that was taken by unknown attackers.

The Leninsky District Prosecutor’s Office is taking measures to protect the property rights of citizens affected by droppers. Thus, the 50-year-old victim, at the instructions of the attacker, transferred more than 370 thousand rubles to the account indicated by the latter. As a result of law enforcement actions coordinated by the district prosecutor’s office, it was possible to identify the owner of the bank account to which the funds were transferred. He turned out to be a 28-year-old resident of the Simferopol region. In order to protect the rights of the woman, the district prosecutor’s office sent a statement of claim to the Simferopol District Court to recover from the dropper the amount of unjust enrichment, interest for the use of other people’s money— reported the Crimean prosecutor’s office.

The claim was considered and satisfied. The actual execution of the court decision is under the control of the prosecutor’s office.

The story is a warning to “potential” droppers. There is no such thing as “easy money”. Sooner or later you will have to pay in full for fraud.
