A drug dealer was detained in Sevastopol. “Amphetamine from Moscow” intercepted on the Tavrida highway

In Sevastopol, a courier who intended to sell a particularly large batch of “synthetics” in the city will appear in court.

The senior investigator of the investigative department of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Nakhimovsky district completed a preliminary investigation in a criminal case against a local resident accused under Part 3 of Art. 30 — part 5 art. 228.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.

It was established that in December last year, a 35-year-old Sevastopol resident, while in Moscow, purchased a psychotropic substance — amphetamine in an especially large amount on the shadow segment of the Internet, took it from a cache located in the Moscow region and went by train to Sevastopol, where planned to sell the purchased goods. The drug courier was unable to complete his criminal intent because he was detained by the police— reported the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the city of Sevastopol.

Employees of the Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the city of Sevastopol, in cooperation with traffic inspectors from a separate company of the traffic police of the State Traffic Safety Inspectorate, stopped a taxi on the Tavrida highway section in which the suspect was traveling.

During the inspection of the car, an attacker’s backpack was found in the back seat containing a polymer package and a jar of a powdery substance, which, according to the expert’s opinion, is a psychotropic substance — amphetamine, with a total weight of over 200 grams, which is a particularly large size.

Currently, the materials of the criminal case with the indictment approved by the prosecutor have been sent to the court for consideration on the merits. The sanction of the incriminated article provides for punishment in the form of imprisonment for a term of up to twenty years.
