CrimeaPRESS reports:

On the morning of January 2 (at 10:00) an accident occurred in Gurzuf, the culprit of which was a drunk driver.

A 46-year-old driver, driving a Chery car, left the road and entered a pedestrian zone. Eyewitnesses called the police. The moment of the accident was caught on surveillance cameras — fortunately, the pedestrian who was hit by the driver was not injured.

When checking the driver’s documents, state traffic inspectors smelled the smell of alcohol. The citizen refused to undergo a medical examination. An administrative protocol has been drawn up in relation to the Yalta resident under Part 1 of Art. 12.26 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation “Failure by the driver of a vehicle to comply with the legal requirement of an authorized official to undergo a medical examination for intoxication, if such actions (inaction) do not contain a criminal offense.” The vehicle is placed in a special parking lot— reported the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Crimea.
