CrimeaPRESS reports:

Read to the end (in the last paragraph there is a “layout” of punishments for those who intend to “pay off”).

In Yevpatoria, police officers stopped an attempt to give a bribe. Road inspectors stopped a Volkswagen Passat, driven by a 57-year-old resident of the Saki district, who was driving the vehicle with signs of intoxication. For the “trouble” (failure to bring him to administrative responsibility), the citizen persistently offered traffic police inspectors a monetary reward in the amount of 20,000 rubles.

The driver was repeatedly informed that his actions were illegal and subject to criminal liability, but he ignored the warning and left the specified amount in the patrol car. For further investigation, an investigative team was called to the scene and recorded the fact of an attempt to give a bribe.— reported the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Crimea.

What happened next? State Traffic Inspectorate officers suspended the man from driving. During the examination procedure, the device readings showed 0.49 mg of alcohol per liter of exhaled air, which exceeds the permissible limit by almost three times. A protocol was drawn up against the driver under Part 1 of Art. 12.8 Code of Administrative Offenses (Driving a vehicle by a driver who is intoxicated). The vehicle was placed in a temporary detention parking lot. You will also have to answer for trying to give a bribe. The materials collected by the police officers were sent to the investigative authorities for making a procedural decision.

In accordance with Part 1 of Article 291 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, for giving a bribe to an official, a fine is provided in the amount of up to 500,000 rubles, or in the amount of wages or other income of the convicted person for a period of up to one year, or in the amount of five to thirty times the amount of the bribe, or correctional labor for a term of up to two years with deprivation of the right to hold certain positions or engage in certain activities for a term of up to three years or without it, or forced labor for a term of up to three years, or imprisonment for a term of up to two years with a fine of five to ten times the amount of the bribe or without it.
