In Crimea, the Belogorsky District Court delivered a verdict in a criminal case against the head of a peasant (farm) economy. The man was found guilty of committing a crime under Part 4 of Art. 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (fraud).
The court found that in April 2019, the defendant, being the head of the farm, entered into an agreement to develop a project to organize the territory for laying perennial plantings on the territory of the Chernopilsky rural settlement of the Belogorsky district. Subsequently, he entered into fictitious contracts for fertilizing and growing fruit trees, shrubs and nuts. On the basis of these documents submitted to the regional Ministry of Agriculture, he received a subsidy for reimbursement of expenses in the amount of more than 2.2 million rubles, which he disposed of your own discretion— told the details of the case in the prosecutor’s office.
The court sentenced the man to 3 years of imprisonment with probation for the same period. At the suit of the prosecutor, the defendant was charged with the damage caused by the crime. The verdict did not enter into force.
