The Museum-Reserve has become the site of the V All-Russian Festival of military bands «Always on guard — 2022».
In the atmosphere of a warm summer evening, talented artists of the military band of the Main Directorate of the Russian Guard in the Krasnodar Territory presented the guests of Chersonese with a real feast of brass music. The event was timed to coincide with the celebration of the Day of Russia and the Day of the founding of the city of Sevastopol. This year, the main goal of the artists was to support the personnel of the National Guard and the Ministry of Defense participating in a special military operation in the DPR, LPR and Ukraine , the press service of the museum-reserve notes.
Everyone could absolutely free of charge enjoy the sound of wonderful domestic works written for a variety of instruments and soloists. Yuri Glukhenky was the first to perform on the stage of the Antique Theater of Tauric Chersonese with the song “Today military music sounds”. Also during the concert, instrumental works were performed: Alexander Pavlov performed the famous melody for tango on the accordion, and Mikhail Matveev played the music from the beloved film «The Barber of Siberia» on the trumpet. The song Love Like a Dream, performed by Yana Kumpan, and the patriotic composition From the Volga to the Yenisei, where Yury Glukhenky was the soloist, especially resonated in the hearts of the public.
Thanks to the artistic director of the orchestra — captain Valentin Taev — and the incredible energy of the artists, visitors to the museum-reserve enjoyed the live sound of musical instruments and magnificent voices on this unforgettable evening.
It is in Chersonese that one feels a truly strong spirit of history, because Prince Vladimir was baptized here. On this land, the talents of musicians unite and give everyone present at the concert the opportunity to feel the greatness of our country.
