A fire in a private home near Alushta took almost three hours to extinguish

Upon arrival, it turned out that the roof of a private residential building, a separate outbuilding and dry vegetation were on fire. The situation was complicated by strong winds. There was a threat of the fire spreading to the neighboring house. The residents got their bearings in time and evacuated on their own. Firefighters carried out reconnaissance and evacuated 2 gas cylinders to a safe place. At the same time, they laid hose lines and extinguished the fire within 2 hours 45 minutes.— the press service of the Russian Emergencies Ministry in Crimea reported.

The roof of the house caught fire on an area of ​​60 sq.m., the outbuilding on 12 sq.m., and dry grass on 2.5 hectares. Further spread of the flames was prevented. There are no casualties, and the cause is being determined.

In total, 28 people and 3 units of equipment were involved in extinguishing the fire.

The Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Crimea reminds that From April 17, 2024, by order of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Kazakhstan, a special fire-fighting regime was introduced on the territory of the peninsula.

During the special fire-prevention regime, it is strictly forbidden to burn dry grass, garbage and conduct fire-hazardous work within the boundaries of rural and urban settlements, urban districts, gardening and vegetable gardening non-profit partnerships, at enterprises, on lands of all categories, with the exception of work carried out by specialized organizations for the purpose of preventing forest fires. At the same time, violation of fire safety requirements in forests and in areas directly adjacent to forests is prosecuted by law.
