A fountain will appear in Lazarev’s square in Sevastopol. The concept is approved

At a meeting of the architectural and art council, they approved the visual concept of the new fountain in the square named after Lazarev.

Two main concepts of the fountain were presented for the discussion: hemispheres and a flat option, each of which integrates the topic of opening Antarctica and campaigns by Admiral M.P. Lazarev.

Most of the votes of members of the architectural and artistic council chose a more practical and concise flat version of the fountain. The central element of the composition will be the image of Antarctica. A miniature model of the ship will be installed on the surface of the water, on which the famous Russian navy made his round -the -world travels. Along the perimeter of the fountain bowl, it is schematically planned to display the routes of these floating, as well as other significant campaigns of Lazarev.

To implement the project, it is proposed to use architectural concrete, which will create complex forms and ensure the durability of the structure. It is possible to integrate LED backlighting, which will give the fountain a spectacular look in the evening, creating a visually “flying” plane and emphasizing the detail.

During the meeting, comments were also taken into account from previous discussions regarding the general improvement of the square. Particular attention will be paid to an increase in the number of benches — the project provides for the placement of 27 benches, which will be most conveniently placed, including near children’s game zones, to create comfortable conditions for the rest of the townspeople.

Recall that the draft fountain was repeatedly considered at meetings of the Council, after which the necessary edits were made.
