A fraudster instantly becomes a thief. The story of one “transformation” from Sevastopol
CrimeaPRESS reports:
Sevastopol police detained a Samara resident who stole money from a pensioner. In fact, the criminal “profession” of the “tourist” is different — he “snuggled” cheap bed linen to elderly people, passing off the goods as expensive and high-quality. But this time he “didn’t disdain” theft…
It was established that a 41-year-old resident of Samara traveled to different cities of Russia and sold bed linen. Arriving in Sevastopol, he met an 81-year-old pensioner on the street and decided to sell her his products. The woman agreed, but said that all her money was at home, to which the attacker offered to take her to the right address. Having entered the house with the pensioner, the suspect saw where she was getting the money from and, taking advantage of the fact that the woman was distracted, he quietly took a paper envelope with the remaining savings in the amount of 31 thousand rubles, and then disappeared— the Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the city of Sevastopol revealed the details of the crime.
The attacker was detained, and the investigative department opened a criminal case against him on the grounds of a crime under paragraph “c” of Part 2 of Art. 158 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Theft”). The sanction of the article provides for up to 5 years of imprisonment.
