Today, specialists from City Hospital No. 5 and the Center for Public Health and Medical Prevention held a Health Fair at Sevastopol School No. 45. They talked with the children about the importance of leading a healthy lifestyle, proper nutrition, the destructive consequences of bad habits, as well as reproductive health. In addition, they were told about the rules of providing first aid to victims, and the students were able to test the acquired knowledge on a special mannequin.
For every child, the fair is associated with a massive festive event. And our event is not just educational in nature, we do it in a way that is exciting for children, so that it is more interesting for them to receive new and important knowledge. The Health Fair has been held in Russia for more than 10 years, and I am very pleased that we were able to revive this wonderful tradition in our glorious citysaid the chief freelance pediatrician of the Sevastopol Health Department, Elena Borisenko.
On the eve of World AIDS Day, which is celebrated on December 1, the Health Fair paid special attention to this topic.
Today it is very important that the population of our country is healthy. At our school, children play sports, lead a healthy lifestyle, we conduct thematic lessons with them, and show popular science films. For me, as a leader, it is important that children talk about this topic, because HIV is no longer a myth, but a reality, and there are examples of successful people who fell ill with this dangerous infection due to their carelessness,” emphasized I. O. school director Anton Plyaskin.
In addition to thematic lessons and a master class, doctors from City Hospital No. 5 conducted a preventive medical examination for schoolchildren born in 2013. A pediatrician, ophthalmologist, dentist, endocrinologist, neurologist and orthopedist came to check their health. 50 students passed the medical examination. In total, about 150 children took part in the event.
Let us remind you that in Sevastopol the regional program “Development of children’s healthcare, including the creation of a modern infrastructure for providing medical care to children” is being implemented under the national project “Healthcare”, one of the main goals of which is to increase the availability and quality of medical care at all stages of its provision, as well as the prevention of morbidity.
