A high level of terrorist threat will operate in a number of regions of Crimea and at infrastructure facilities

Head of the Republic of Crimea Sergey Aksyonov in his Telegram channel said that from February 5, a high (“yellow”) level of terrorist threat will operate in a number of municipalities and infrastructure facilities of the Republic of Crimea:

In order to ensure the security and anti-terrorist protection of the Republic of Crimea and its citizens in a number of municipalities and facilities of the republic, a high (“yellow”) level of terrorist threat will operate from 20: 00 February 5 2023 and until a decision is made to cancel it. Namely:

• on the territory of the urban districts of Armyansk, Dzhankoy, Kerch, Krasnoperekopsk, as well as Dzhankoysky, Krasnoperekopsky and Leninsky districts;

• at the facilities of the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Crimea, the Ministry of Housing and Communal Services of the Republic of Crimea, the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Crimea, the Ministry of Fuel and Energy of the Republic of Crimea, the Ministry of Industrial Policy of the Republic of Crimea, the State Committee for Water Management and Melioration of the Republic of Crimea.

Also in connection with the amendments made to the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation dated 14 June 2012 No. 14 and in accordance with the procedure approved by this decree, law enforcement agencies were instructed to strengthen control over the movement of vehicles across the administrative borders of the Republic of Crimea, organize inspections of vehicles using technical means for detecting weapons and explosives.

The situation in the region is fully controlled by the executive authorities and local self-government. Power structures and law enforcement agencies ensure the security of the Republic of Crimea, its residents and guests in full,” the Head of the Republic said in a statement.
