CrimeaPRESS reports:
In Crimea, the Kirov District Court has issued a verdict in a criminal case against a 61-year-old resident of the village of Zhuravki. The man became jealous of his common-law wife and… decided to shoot her.
During the trial it was established that in January of this year, the defendant, out of jealousy, fired a shot into the chest of his sleeping partner using a firearm he had made himself, similar to a pistol. The woman’s death did not occur due to the intervention of other persons and the timely provision of medical assistance.— the prosecutor’s office said.
Taking into account the position of the state prosecutor, the court sentenced the man to 6 years and 6 months of imprisonment to be served in a strict regime penal colony.
