A kilometer-long St. George ribbon was unfurled at the Artek International Children's Center

The St. George ribbon, 1 km long, was unfurled on the embankment of the Artek International Children’s Center (ICC), and more than 3.5 thousand children from 36 countries took part in the action, the center’s press service told reporters.
On the embankment. Yu. Gagarin hosted the all-Artek event “St. George’s Ribbon”. The shift participants pinned the symbol of the Great Victory on their chests as a sign that the feat of Soviet soldiers remained forever in the hearts of their descendants. Together, Artek residents from all regions of Russia and 36 foreign countries unfurled the 1 kilometer long St. George ribbonthe message says.
It is noted that to the songs dedicated to the Great Victory, Artek residents unfurled yellow and black ribbons from the Lazurny children’s camp to the Morskoy children’s camp. 3.5 thousand children took part in the action.
The guys remembered the heroes of their family and the heroes of the Fatherland, front-line soldiers and home front workers, children of war and victims of the genocide of the Soviet people by the Nazis and their accomplices during the Great Patriotic War. Artek residents from different countries together expressed confidence in the need to preserve historical memory and prevent falsification and distortion of history.
