A Krasnodar resident suspected of stealing goods from an electronics supermarket was detained in Sevastopol

The Krasnodar resident suspected of committing a crime turned out to be previously convicted of robbery and sale of property obtained by criminal means.

The police found out that a 37-year-old businessman from Krasnodar came to Sevastopol for work. During his visit, he visited one of the chain electronics supermarkets and, making sure that his actions were not observed by the store staff, stole three portable music speakers, two electric shavers and a set of heads for an electric toothbrush from the display case. Having discovered the loss of goods totaling more than 40 thousand rubles, the supermarket manager contacted the police,” noted the press service of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs in Sevastopol.

As a result of operational search activities, criminal investigation officers of the Department of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Gagarinsky district identified and detained the suspect. The man admitted guilt in his crime and said that he sold the stolen equipment to a random passerby.

A criminal case has been initiated against the detainee under Part 1 of Art. 158 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Theft”, he faces up to two years in prison. The defendant was given a preventive measure in the form of a recognizance not to leave the place.
