A landfill near a hotel complex on the coast of Laspi Bay is being liquidated by court decision

The Sevastopol Interdistrict Environmental Prosecutor’s Office, based on information published on social networks and the media, checked compliance with legislative requirements in the field of industrial and consumer waste management on the coast of Laspi Bay.

During the inspection near the Bay of Dreams hotel complex, places of unauthorized disposal of waste of various morphological compositions were identified: soil dumps and waste of plastic products near the water’s edge of the Black Sea.

Based on the results of the inspection, the environmental prosecutor’s office filed a lawsuit with the Leninsky District Court of Sevastopol to impose the obligation on the Department of Municipal Services to liquidate the landfill.

The prosecutor’s claim was satisfied. After the court decision enters into legal force, the prosecutor’s office will monitor its actual implementation.
