A large-scale information campaign “Beware, scammer!” is underway in Kerch.
CrimeaPRESS reports:
As part of the republican operational and preventive event “Beware the scammer!” Kerch police continue outreach work with the city population.
This time, criminal investigation officers appealed to passersby on one of the main streets of the city with a call to be vigilant with strangers who are trying to find out personal information through the phone or the Internet. Distributing preventive reminders, police detectives talked about new fraud schemes and, using specific examples, explained how you can protect yourself from the criminal attacks of intruders,” noted the press service of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs in Crimea.
Dear citizens! To avoid becoming a victim of fraudsters, you should absolutely not perform any actions with a bank card at the direction of third parties, or provide your bank account details, card code, PIN code, or card expiration date. Do not agree to prepayment or exchange of funds when buying/selling goods through online advertisements. Let’s say “No” to scammers together!
