A large-scale teleconference with Russian regions took place in Crimea. The event was initiated by the Coordination Centers of the Crimean and Siberian Federal Universities, as well as branches of the Russian Society “Knowledge” in the regions. Universities from 40 regions of the country joined the teleconference between Crimea and Krasnoyarsk.
The idea of the teleconference arose spontaneously after colleagues from the academic community asked to talk about the Crimean Spring, about the achievements of Crimea over ten years. Students, representatives of universities, and educators gathered on one teleconference platform. We discussed the results of the development of the peninsula, the historical path of the Crimeans and answered questions from students from other regions of the Russian Federation who were interested in aspects of youth policy, conditions for education and employment in Crimea, – notes the vice-rector for educational and methodological activities of the Crimean Federal University. And although representatives of universities from 27 regions of Russia initially expressed a desire to join the teleconference between Crimea and Krasnoyarsk, on the day of the broadcast their number grew to 40. Representatives of the Republic of Dagestan also took part in the all-Russian teleconference: the Coordination Center of the Dagestan State University and a branch of the Russian Society “Knowledge” «in Dagestan. DSU students joined the online broadcast dedicated to the 10th anniversary of the reunification of Crimea with Russia and had the opportunity to ask questions to the speakers.
In total, until March 22, more than 100 events will be held in Russia, including lectures, quizzes, thematic film screenings, open dialogues with experts, as well as interregional teleconferences. Young people will learn about the background and history of the reunification of Crimea with Russia, the heroes of the Crimean Spring, achievements in industry, tourism, and the social sphere that have occurred in recent years, as well as Crimeans, Sevastopol residents and their role in the historical events of ten years ago.
In addition, festive educational events will take place in the lecture hall of the Knowledge Society at VDNKh as part of the Russia Exhibition. Pavilion 57 will host the Educational Marathon “Crimea: 10 Years with Russia.”
Events of the Russian Society “Knowledge” on the eve of the memorable date will unite young people across the country; educational lectures and meetings with experts will become a platform for open dialogue about historical events, patriotism and achievements of Russia.
