In Sevastopol, investigators detained a local resident suspected of stealing power tools from a construction site. The moment the attacker entered the territory of the facility under construction was recorded by an installed video surveillance camera.
A 50-year-old man contacted the police and reported that electrical tools worth about 20 thousand rubles that belonged to him had disappeared from the basement of a house under construction. As a result of operational search activities, employees of the criminal investigation department of the Russian Department of Internal Affairs in the Nakhimovsky district detained a suspect in the theft. He turned out to be a 32-year-old unemployed local resident. He confessed to his crime and gave the stolen property to the police.— reported the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the city of Sevastopol.
A criminal case was initiated against the detainee under paragraphs “b” and “c” of Part 2 of Art. 158 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Theft”), he faces up to five years in prison.
