A man from Sevastopol tried to sell marijuana on a large scale. Detained

Employees of the Drug Control Department of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs for the city of Sevastopol, during operational search activities, detained a man suspected of illegal transactions with prohibited substances.
Earlier, police drug control operatives received information that a 53-year-old resident of Sevastopol may be involved in the illegal sale of marijuana and store the drug at his place of residence. As a result of the activities carried out, the information received was confirmed — in the suspect’s apartment, police officers found and seized a metal jar containing polymer packages with a substance of plant origin; packaging materials and high-precision electronic scales were also found in the residence. The seized evidence was sent for examination to the ECC of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. An expert opinion showed that the packages contained a narcotic drug — cannabis, weighing more than 100 grams— the details of the story were announced in the press service of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs in Sevastopol.
The detainee told the police that several months earlier he had discovered wild hemp bushes in the suburbs of Sevastopol, picked the crop and produced the drug for subsequent sale in the city.
A criminal case has been initiated against the attacker on the grounds of a crime under Part 3 of Art. 30 p. «g» part 4 tbsp. 228.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. The sanction of the article provides for punishment in the form of imprisonment for a term of 10 to 20 years.
