A man was detained in Sevastopol for committing a robbery against a pensioner
CrimeaPRESS reports:
In Sevastopol, the police took into custody a criminal who attacked a pensioner with a knife. The desire to drink pushed a man previously convicted of theft and robbery to commit a more serious crime.
The police established that a 27-year-old local resident came to his friends’ hostel on Nikolai Muzyki Street and drank alcohol with them. In the morning, when the alcohol ran out, he decided to illegally obtain funds to purchase it. In the corridor, the man saw an elderly woman entering her room, and he quickly hatched a criminal plan. The attacker broke into the pensioner’s home, pushed her onto the bed, and then, holding a kitchen knife to her neck, demanded money. Seriously afraid for her life, the 66-year-old victim gave the robber six thousand rubles, and when he disappeared, she reported the incident to the police— reported the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the city of Sevastopol.
In the shortest possible time, officers from a separate police patrol company detained the suspect on the street. His involvement in the crime is confirmed by confessions and the confiscated weapon of the crime — a kitchen knife.
A criminal case was initiated against the person detained by the investigator of the investigative department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Leninsky district under Part 3 of Art. 162 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Robbery”). The sanction of the article provides for punishment in the form of imprisonment for a term of seven to twelve years. The defendant was chosen as a preventive measure in the form of detention.
