A man was «struck» by the Sun in the Sokol Mountain area. «Krym-SPAS» came to the rescue

The rescue service received a signal that a man had become ill in the area of Mount Sokol. Rescuers’ help is needed to evacuate him from the mountain-forest zone. The Sudak ASO consisting of 3 people headed to the supposed place of search operations.
Upon arrival at the eastern slope of Mount Sokol in the area of the Shaitan-Dere gorge, the employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Crimea began searching on foot along a steep mountain path. About 40 minutes later, the man was found on the northern slope of the mountain with signs of heat stroke. Rescuers applied cooling bandages to him and, using mountaineering equipment, evacuated the tourist along the steep mountain slope to the Sudak-Novy Svet highway. No further assistance from rescuers was required.— the press service of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations in Crimea announced the details of the incident.
Let us remind you, by order of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Crimea, from 27.06.2024 the restriction on citizens’ stay in forests has been extended, with the exception of places of restspecified in this order.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Crimea recommends taking precautionary measures:
- avoid intense physical activity, try to stay in the shade;
- wear hats and light, breathable clothing (preferably cotton);
- drink more water;
- due to the high thermal load on the body, reduce time spent outdoors;
- Do not drink alcoholic beverages, this will lead to deterioration of the general condition of the body (dehydration).
