A media school was held for representatives of the Sevastopol governor’s school labor groups
CrimeaPRESS reports:
At Sevastopol State University, the opening of a school of the press service of the governor’s school labor groups took place, in which 186 people took part. Over the course of three days, squad members will receive training from professional journalists, photographers, videographers, and SMM specialists.
The school program is divided into two streams: an educational platform for press secretaries and a platform for the press service team and children who want to realize themselves as media specialists. The program for press secretaries was developed and will be conducted by specialists from the Regional Management Center, and experienced industry representatives will be speakers for everyone: Daria Kotrova — head of the social media department of the Sevastopol TV and Radio Company, Yulia Blotskaya — press secretary and photographer of the Russian State Art Gallery, Mikhail Zabroda – photographer and videographer and others.
The dispatch of governor’s school labor teams is one of the priorities in our work with school youth. It is important for us not only to employ children in the summer, but also to involve them in covering the activities of the units. That is why we are holding our second school, where professional speakers pass on their knowledge and children practice creating content: writing posts, taking photos and videos.– the press service of the head of the department for youth affairs of Sevastopol, Marina Slonchenko, quotes.
Over three days, participants will be completely immersed in the media sphere: they will learn the basics of copywriting for social networks and working with text, understand the basics of creating visual content, and also consider the basic rules for designing materials on social networks.
It is important to create platforms for young people that correspond to their interests and hobbies. Now the media sector is actively developing, there is a lot of media content created by young people. And it is worth noting that these formats are gaining an audience of millions. The school will be the first stage in the development of our teenagers as promising media specialists– notes the head of the student teams of Sevastopol Daria Denisova.
In addition to theory, the students will also receive practical assignments: to consolidate their acquired skills and knowledge, they will create content on given topics, and at the end of the training they will take part in a case tournament: they will create content on given situations. The main task will not be to make the maximum number of publications, but to create high-quality materials.
I am very glad to be a participant in the GShTO press service school. For me, this is an opportunity to improve my skills in the field of media and make the group of my VKontakte squad the best. I’m looking forward to a lot of cool lectures and, of course, practice, – Sofia Lebedeva, a student at school No. 37, shares her expectations.
The school of the press service of the governor’s school labor teams is organized by the Sevastopol Youth Affairs Department, the city’s Department of Internal Policy, the Regional Management Center, the Department of Education and Science and the Sevastopol regional branch of the all-Russian youth public organization «Russian Student Teams». The educational program is supported by the Sevastopol Information Policy Department and Sevastopol State University.
