A medical cluster is being built in Sevastopol. They say the work is progressing at a good pace

A medical cluster — an emergency hospital and a diagnostic and treatment building of an oncology clinic — is currently being built on Kamyshov Highway. The work is being carried out within the framework of the state program for the socio-economic development of the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol. The customer is the Unified Directorate of Capital Construction, the general contractor is RT-SotsStroy LLC.

According to experts, work on the Emergency Hospital is progressing at a good pace; monolithic work on the first, second and fifth blocks has been fully completed. Monolithic work is being completed at the seventh floor level on the third, eight-story block. Monolithic work is being carried out on the second floor of the fourth block and work on filling the conference hall building is being completed. Specialists are working on installing external waterproofing of the basement floor, filling the pit cavities, and laying the external walls. Window products, façade elements and seismic isolating structures have already been ordered.

For the emergency hospital, as we planned, all buildings will be completely built by the end of the year, window units have already been ordered, their installation will begin in November, as well as the installation of the roof. That is, by the end of the year the thermal circuit of the emergency hospital will be completed. We are setting the same goal for the oncology center, but perhaps the deadline will be moved to the beginning of next year. After this, you can begin interior finishing work. These works should be completed next year, equipment should be purchased in parallel and installation of equipment should begin accordingly,” the press service of the Government of Sevastopol quotes Mikhail Razvozhaev.

As of today, concrete work has been completed in the new building of the oncology clinic, work is being done on the installation of floor slabs, and reinforcement of vertical structures is being carried out.

As Mikhail Razvozhaev noted, due to the technological complexity of the facility, adjustments may occur during the work. In particular, we are talking about replacing a subcontractor for work in an oncology clinic. However, this circumstance will not fundamentally affect the pace of construction of the facility.

In fact, today the cancer clinic site has already been transferred to a new subcontractor, workers will be mobilized in the near future, and construction will continue. This will not cause any serious problems, that is, the work will continue smoothly, only with a new subcontractor. He has all the strength, capabilities, technology is already hereemphasizes the head of the city.

The plans are to complete work on two facilities in 2025.

Let us remind you that the emergency hospital is designed for 470 beds and 200 visits per shift. Its structure will include an admissions department, a diagnostic block, an operating block, a hospital, a laboratory block with auxiliary services and a catering unit. The oncology clinic has a capacity of 150 beds and 100 visits per shift. The medical facility has diagnostic and operating departments, a cytology laboratory, a pharmacy and a catering department.
