A medical rehabilitation department has been opened at the Crimean hospital for war veterans

At the Crimean Republican Clinical Hospital for war veterans, a department of medical rehabilitation for adults with dysfunction of the peripheral nervous system and musculoskeletal system has been opened. The Minister of Health of the Republic of Crimea Konstantin Skorupsky spoke about this. According to his information, medical rehabilitation will be available here, including to members of the SVO.

The new department has 15 beds. It employs a multidisciplinary team of specialists led by a physical and rehabilitation medicine physician. In the open department, patients will be able to restore vital functions after injuries, as well as after prosthetic knee and hip joints, and surgical interventions on the spine. Participants of a special military operation will be able to undergo medical rehabilitation here, among others.said the minister.

Thanks to inclusion in the regional program “Optimal Medical Rehabilitation for Health,” the Crimean Republican Clinical Hospital for War Veterans will be equipped with expensive rehabilitation equipment next year.

The Ministry of Health of the Republic of Crimea recalled that the active development of medical rehabilitation services in Crimea began in 2022. Today, to provide this type of care, six medical organizations in the region have outpatient medical rehabilitation departments, nine have 24-hour inpatient departments, and two have day hospitals.
