A million rubles for cutting down oak trees — a court verdict for the owner of a land plot in Alupka
CrimeaPRESS reports:
The owner of a plot of land on Ulyanov Street in Alupka will pay over a million rubles for the illegal cutting down of four perennial oak trees.
This is the court’s decision. In total, since the beginning of the year, employees of the Department of Munitions Control have drawn up 26 protocols for the unauthorized removal of trees and shrubs. The total amount of damage is more than 10 million rubles,” the press service quotes the head of the Yalta administration, Yanina Pavlenko.
She also recalled that for the unauthorized demolition of a perennial plant, the culprit must compensate its value five times, and if it is rare or is in the Red Book, criminal liability also arises.
In turn, the head of the forest control department of the municipal control department, Alexei Shagarov, said that the most resonant cases were the destruction of cedar trees on Mukhina Street near the driving school — a criminal case was opened against the culprits, the amount of damage was 200 thousand rubles, and the no less resonant demolition of 90 Forose junipers — the collected materials were sent to law enforcement agencies to initiate a criminal case.
Head of the Department for the Maintenance of Housing and Public Utilities Facilities of Yalta Levon Leonov also added that they are now preparing for approval at the session of the Rules for the maintenance, restoration, protection and removal of green spaces, which will stipulate responsibility not only for the unauthorized demolition of perennial plants, but also for their damage.
