A mobile team of doctors from a children's clinic has begun on-site medical examinations in Yalta schools
CrimeaPRESS reports:
Doctors from the children’s clinic of the YMMC FMBA of Russia have begun on-site preventive examinations of minors in schools and kindergartens in the Yalta region. This form of work will be introduced in 2024.
Previously, we invited children to be examined by specialists at the children’s clinic. This was not entirely convenient, since not all children reached the doctors. Therefore, it was decided from this year to organize the departure of mobile medical teams directly to educational institutions and kindergartens of Yalta and villages— the press service of the Yalta administration quotes the head of the children’s clinic of the YMMC FMBA of Russia Liliya Shevtsova.
The first trip is to secondary school-college No. 1. First, parents are given consent to conduct a preventive examination, then a visiting schedule is drawn up for each class.
Blood and urine tests are taken from children in a specialized licensed medical office. An ECG is also done here — this study is carried out for those children who are required by age according to medical orders.
Then, in another office, the children are examined by specialized specialists: a surgeon, urologist-andrologist, gynecologist, dentist, neurologist, ophthalmologist, otorhinolaryngologist, endocrinologist and orthopedist-traumatologist. If the doctor identifies deviations from the norm or the child has complaints, he is invited for additional examinations at the children’s clinic.
Children over 15 years of age must have an ultrasound scan. They are invited to this procedure at a certain time in the clinic, since it is impractical to carry equipment for a small number of patients.
Thanks to a clearly drawn up schedule, on average, it takes from 40 minutes to an hour and a half to examine students in one class. Previously, when we had to go to the clinic, we took the children out of school for the whole day. Now everything goes on without interruption from the educational process, we control who has passed the medical examination. And if someone was absent that day for a good reason, we send him to the clinic according to a predetermined schedule. For us, this type of on-site work is very convenient.,” notes the director of the Yalta school-collegium No. 1 Valeria Mazhugina.
Another important point is that now in the Yalta region the situation with acute respiratory viral infections is not very favorable. And this factor was also taken into account — so that healthy children do not come into contact with sick people in the clinic, it is better for doctors to go to school or kindergarten.
Specialists from the children’s clinic of the YMMC FMBA of Russia, together with the Department of Education of Yalta, have drawn up a schedule for on-site preventive examinations for the first half of 2024. These events will take place on Mondays and Wednesdays. The next institution where the mobile medical team will arrive is Yalta Secondary School No. 2.
