A modular building of the pathology department was put into operation at the Evpatoria City Hospital
CrimeaPRESS reports:
A renovated pathology department has opened at the Evpatoria City Hospital. The modular building to house the department was purchased as part of the departmental target program “Modernization of public health care institutions in order to bring them to federal standards and regulations.”
The new building is equipped with ventilation and air conditioning systems, hot and cold water supply, and has a modern layout. The department has doctors’ offices, a laboratory for histological studies, two section rooms, modern refrigeration chambers for storing the bodies of the dead, rooms for the archive of medical documentation and histological preparations, rooms with showers for staff, etc. In order to equip the department, laboratory equipment was also purchased, sectional tables, refrigeration chambers, racks for laboratory archives, medical laboratory furniture, as well as everything necessary for arranging comfortable workplaces for medical personnel— reported the press service of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Crimea.
It is worth noting that the activities of the pathological department are largely related to the conduct of intravital pathological studies of biopsy and surgical material. These studies make it possible to identify the etiology of pathological processes in the body, the nature of inflammation, as well as differentiate between malignant and benign neoplasms, which in turn helps clinicians in verifying the diagnosis and determining further treatment tactics for patients.
