A monster was convicted in Crimea — guilty of murder and robbery

CrimeaPRESS reports:

The Supreme Court of the Republic of Crimea issued a verdict in a criminal case against a 33-year-old man. He was found guilty under paragraph “c” of Part 4 of Art. 162 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (robbery), paragraphs. “a”, “h” part 2 art. 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (murder), part 3 of Art. 30, pp. “a”, “h” part 2 art. 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (attempted murder).

The court found that in October 2022, the defendant, while in the village of Zhelezny Port, Kherson region, entered the territory of a private household with the aim of stealing property located there. When his illegal actions were discovered by the homeowner, the defendant killed the latter by hitting him in the head with a sledgehammer. After this, the man stole property belonging to the victim, which he disposed of at his own discretion. Under similar circumstances, the defendant committed the murder of an elderly woman and beat her husband,” the Crimean prosecutor’s office reported details.

He didn’t just beat him… The criminal was sure that the elderly couple had died, after which he hid the bodies on the territory of the household. After which he entered the house, from where he stole material assets totaling about 13 thousand rubles and tried to escape. When he left the house with the kidnapped person, the owner’s daughter saw him, ran up to him and grabbed his hand. Two men approached the woman’s screams and held him until law enforcement arrived and detained him. The crime was recorded by external surveillance cameras installed on the territory of this household.

Where did it all start? From the desire to make money “easy”.

According to the testimony of the defendant, given by him during the preliminary investigation, due to the lack of work and money, he agreed to an acquaintance’s proposal to commit thefts in empty houses in one of the settlements in the Kherson region. The same acquaintance told him the addresses of the households in which the defendant committed his crimes. At the court hearing the defendant did not admit his guilt— it was clarified in court.

The court, taking into account the position of the state prosecutor, sentenced the man to 24 years in prison to serve the sentence in a maximum security correctional colony.
