Together with our team, we have been restoring monuments dedicated to the events of the Great Patriotic War for many years. Over the years, this work has become popular, people of different generations participate in it. It will continue in the future.

June 22 is an important date in the history of our people, the day of the beginning of the most terrible and bloody war, the day of the treachery of the West. Early in the morning, a blow was struck across the territory of the Soviet Union, including the Crimean Peninsula, and the first victims appeared.

This was followed by long years of war and the occupation of Crimea. We suffered colossal losses. More than 200 thousand civilians were tortured in concentration camps, about one million Red Army soldiers laid down their lives on our soil, 85% of residential buildings were destroyed. Crimea has actually turned into a desert, a scorched field,” commented Vladimir Konstantinov, Chairman of the State Council of Crimea, head of the Board of Trustees of the “Red” memorial.

The head of the republican parliament is confident that Crimeans remember those events, the heroism and dedication of the Soviet soldier, the feat of our entire people.

We pass on this memory to growing Crimeans, which, I am sure, will help us raise true patriots of our Motherland,” emphasized Vladimir Konstantinov.
