The Simferopol prosecutor’s office approved an indictment in a criminal case against a Moscow resident. He is accused of committing a crime under Part 4 of Art. 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (fraud).
According to investigators, the accused served as a courier in a group of telephone scammers who called residents of the republic and provided false information that their relatives were responsible for road accidents. To reconcile with the victims, it is necessary to pay money. According to this scheme, an organized group stole more than 3 million rubles from an elderly woman.— reported the prosecutor’s office.
