A mural dedicated to Marshal Tolbukhin was unveiled in Simferopol
CrimeaPRESS reports:
In Simferopol, on the territory of school No. 4, an art object was opened in honor of Marshal of the Soviet Union, Hero of the Soviet Union, holder of the Order of Victory Fyodor Ivanovich Tolbukhin, whose name the educational institution honorably bears.
As noted by the administration of the Crimean capital, educational and military-patriotic events dedicated to both the marshal himself and the history of the Great Patriotic War are regularly held at the school.
This is already the fourth mural in the city, which is unveiled on the buildings of educational institutions.
Patriotic work, of course, is regularly carried out in all schools in the city. Classes, conversations, and memory events are held. The work is educational in nature and is aimed, first of all, at preserving the memory for the younger generation of those terrible years of the Great Patriotic War,” said Natalya Matyukhina, deputy head of the education department of the Simferopol administration.
School director Victoria Kubanova also emphasized the importance of such an event as the opening of the mural to the Soviet military leader:
Today, of course, is very significant for us, because we have the opportunity to perpetuate the memory of the marshal forever. The guys, passing every day, will once again remember the value of the victory that our people won in 1945.
Three artists took part in painting the art object. About 150 liters of paint were used to create the image. The design was applied using spray guns, brushes and rollers.
According to information from the Chairman of the State Committee for Youth Policy of the Republic of Crimea, Alexei Zinchenko, in 2023, 6 patriotic murals were created and by the end of December 4 more will appear on the facades of buildings.
The creation of murals is a traditional event within the framework of the Street Art project. All of them carry exclusively patriotic education as a semantic thread. It is also worth noting that starting this year we are paying special attention to the application of art images to the facades of schools or buildings located close to educational institutions. We have a goal to open at least 10 murals this year in the Republic of Crimea. And we are sure that by the end of this year, accordingly, we will definitely have 4 more such patriotic murals— emphasized the chairman of the State Committee for Youth Policy of Crimea.
