A murder has been solved in the Crimean village of Medicine. 43-year-old local killed his own mother

The Main Investigation Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol has opened a criminal case against a 43-year-old resident of the Simferopol region who has been repeatedly convicted and is suspected of murdering his mother (Part 1 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).

Law enforcement agencies received a message from relatives about the disappearance of a 65-year-old resident of the village of Medicine. The son with whom she lived said that the mother had gone in an unknown direction and did not return home. During an inspection of the area by canine service officers, a service dog picked up the trail of the missing person and led the police officers to a lake located near the village. There, yesterday afternoon, the body of a missing village woman was discovered with signs of criminal death— reported the Investigative Committee.

In the course of competently structured work, an investigator of the investigative department for the Simferopol region received a confession from his son in committing a murder. It was established that on the afternoon of June 15, a drunk man beat his mother during a conflict, after which he dragged the deceased to a reservoir.

As the Crimean prosecutor’s office clarified, the killer inflicted more than 40 kicks and punches to his mother in the head and torso area. The woman died from her injuries. The next day the man threw her body into the lake.

Urgent investigative actions are currently being carried out, and all necessary examinations have been ordered.
