A murder has been solved in the Crimean village of Zhuravki. It all started with a conflict between fellow villagers
CrimeaPRESS reports:
The corpse was found in the North Crimean Canal.
According to the Investigative Committee, charges have been brought against a 37-year-old resident of the village of Zhuravki, accused of committing the murder of an acquaintance (Part 1 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).
The Kirov Interdistrict Investigation Department established that on the night of February 3, in the courtyard of a private household in the village of Zhuravki, a conflict occurred in the company of drunken men, as a result of which a 37-year-old villager struck a 51-year-old fellow countryman.
Thinking that the acquaintance had died, the attacker decided to hide the traces of the crime. Together with a friend, he dragged the man, who was without a creature, to the bank of the North Crimean Canal near the village of Novopokrovka, tied his legs with an electric cable and tied fragments of concrete pillars to them, after which he threw the body into the water, where it was later discovered by local residents,” Sledkom reported details.
What is most interesting (and tragic) is that according to the results of the examination, the victim’s death was caused by drowning.
The suspect turned out to be a 37-year-old resident of the Kirovsky district who had been previously convicted several times. The citizen was put on the federal wanted list,” the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Crimea clarified.
During the joint work of investigators and police, the identity of the suspect was quickly established. The attacker was detained on the evening of February 9 by criminal investigation officers at the Simferopol train station, after which he was taken to the Investigative Committee for urgent investigative actions.
The villager admitted his guilt in committing the murder, showing during the verification of evidence on the ground how he committed the crime. At the request of the investigator, the court chose a preventive measure in the form of detention. Also, as part of the investigation, his accomplice will be assessed for concealment of a particularly serious crime.,” noted the Sledkom.
The criminal investigation continues.
