A museum of military glory named after the Afghan hero Alexander Gusev was opened in Simferopol
CrimeaPRESS reports:
On the day of the 35th anniversary of the withdrawal of Soviet troops from Afghanistan, the Simferopol College of Service and Design hosted the opening of a museum of military glory named after a Crimean, a participant in the Afghan War, a militia during the Crimean Spring and the war in Donbass, Alexander Yuryevich Gusev.
According to the chairman of the State Council of the Republic of Crimea, Vladimir Konstantinov, the initiative to create the museum “belongs to our activists, participants in the Afghan war.”
It is important to note that the museum is dedicated not only to events in Afghanistan. Authentic exhibits from the Great Patriotic War are presented here, and unique items from the fronts of the Special Military Operation are collected. I am convinced that holding excursions and open lessons in the museum will have a positive impact on the education of our children as citizens of Russia — patriots of their Motherlandsaid Vladimir Konstantinov.
