A new building for an oncology clinic and emergency hospital is being built on Kamyshov Highway

On June 19, Sevastopol Governor Mikhail Razvozhaev held an offsite meeting at the construction site of the medical cluster. A new building for an oncology clinic and an emergency hospital are being built on Kamyshov Highway. The work is being carried out within the framework of the state program for the socio-economic development of the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol.

In most emergency hospital buildings, work is already underway on the third or fourth floors; in the oncology center, work is underway from the first to third floors. The governor noted great progress in construction: if in February specialists worked at the “zero” level of the emergency hospital and began to build the first floors of the oncology center buildings, today it is already clear what the hospitals under construction will be like.

During our previous retreats, we set a tight schedule to complete the monolithic work by the end of the year. Now the workers are about two to three weeks behind this schedule: there were objective difficulties associated with temporary interruptions in the supply of cement. Now this issue has already been resolved, additional teams will be brought in, and work will return to schedule within approximately a month. There are a number of issues related to making changes to the project. I talked about this last time: according to the project, part of the high-tech equipment for both hospitals was planned to be purchased, including from those countries that had stopped supplying their products to Russia. We have found an alternative, but along with the equipment, its dimensions also change, which, in turn, entails adjustments to the design solutions of some premises at the facilities, and now they need to be agreed upon with Glavgosexpertiza“, the head of the city noted during the meeting.

Currently, construction is progressing at a high pace. It is planned that by the end of the year the thermal contour of the facilities will be completed, after which the finishing of the premises and installation of equipment will begin.

The emergency hospital has a capacity of 470 beds and 200 visits per shift. Its structure will include an admissions department, a diagnostic unit, an operating unit, a hospital unit, a laboratory unit with auxiliary services and a catering unit. The oncology clinic has a capacity of 150 beds and 100 visits per shift. The medical facility has diagnostic and operating departments, a cytology laboratory, a pharmacy and a catering department.
