A new substation «Nakhimovskaya» will be built in Sevastopol. The corresponding order was signed by the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Mikhail Mishustin. The construction of a 330/110 kV substation, along with other power grid facilities necessary for reliable power supply to the inhabitants of the Crimean peninsula, is included in the Comprehensive Plan for the Modernization and Expansion of the Main Infrastructure. It will be located between the existing Sevastopol substation and the concrete products plant on Chernorechenskaya Street.
This is something we’ve been working on for a long time. Everyone knows that in Sevastopol the problem with the technological connection of new infrastructure facilities to the power supply networks is long overdue. This is especially true for remote areas. We have developed a scheme and plan for the development of energy in the Hero City. I regularly negotiated the development of the power industry in Sevastopol at the Ministry of Energy. We were heard and supported. He emphasized that the new grid complex will create additional opportunities for the operation of the Balaklava thermal power plant and will increase power transmission through the power grids of the peninsula.
