CrimeaPRESS reports:
In the Kerch Lapidarium, a new temporary exhibition «The Almighty Patrons of the Human Race» is presented as part of the «Museum Antiquities» cycle, available for visiting until April 451 of the year.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Crimea, the author of the exhibition project is Nina Kucherevskaya, head of the «Picture Gallery» department of the East Crimean Historical and Cultural Museum-Reserve.
Sculptures of gods and goddesses of the Greek Pantheon, found in different years on the territory of the Kerch Peninsula, as well as ritual altars-eschars and dedicatory inscriptions have been selected for the exposition. It is noteworthy that some of the exhibits are from the receipts of the last few years and are presented to the attention of visitors for the first time, the message says.
Showcases with a temporary exposition are located in the Myths of the Ancient Bosporus hall. Here are several sacrificial tables and large sculptures that organically complement the new exhibition.
The new project is an important part of the general thematic idea of the exposition of the «Museum of Stone Antiquities» and complements the ideas about the cultural life and beliefs of the Bosporan Greeks.
