A new exhibition project “Chekhov’s Actresses” was presented at the A.P. Chekhov House-Museum in Yalta

A new exhibition project “Chekhov’s Actresses” was presented at the A.P. Chekhov House-Museum in Yalta. The thematic exhibition, created with the support of the Crimean Ministry of Culture, tells the story of three generations of world-famous actresses from the Chekhov and Knipper families.
The new exhibition was presented by the author of the scientific concept of the project, laureate of the A.P. Chekhov Prize of the Yalta City Council, senior researcher at the Republican Museum, Yulia Dolgopolova. Guests were introduced to little-known facts from the creative biography of the writer’s wife Olga Knipper-Chekhova, the famous actress of the Moscow Art Theater and her relatives, the European theater and film star Olga Chekhova, as well as actresses Ada and Vera Chekhov (Rust).
The exhibition is based on authentic personal belongings of the actress and writer’s wife Olga Knipper, theater binoculars from Anton Chekhov’s sister and the first director of the House-Museum Maria Chekhova, unique photographs with dedicatory inscriptions and much more.
You can visit the exhibition until December 25 according to graphics works of the House-Museum of A.P. Chekhov.
