A new exhibition project «When Sakura Blooms» was presented in Kerch
CrimeaPRESS reports:
In Japan, there is a national tradition of admiring flowers, which the staff of the East Crimean Museum-Reserve decided to support by creating an exquisite spring exhibition. The name of the exhibition project is associated with the period of cherry blossom, which, in turn, serves as the personification of human life and female beauty, being one of the main symbols of Japan. The basis of the exposition was a private collection of decorative statuettes by Evgenia Marchenko, a specialist of the Museum-Reserve, a collection of finely painted and carved fans provided by senior researcher Alla Kucherevskaya, exquisite watercolors by the Kerch artist Olga Retunskaya, thematic batiks by Svetlana Muravlenko and a member of the Union of Artists of Russia Anna Kostina , — reported the press service of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Crimea.
The exhibition also features reproductions of works by famous Japanese graphic artist Kitagawa Utamaro, who celebrates the beauty and charm of Japanese women.
