A new project of the Society “Knowledge” has been launched for Sevastopol youth
CrimeaPRESS reports:
A new project of the Knowledge Society – Knowledge.Sport – was launched in Sevastopol. It is aimed at popularizing sporting achievements and is designed to inspire young people to conquer sporting heights. Project events in the format of thematic lectures and open dialogues are held for students, as well as for anyone interested in sports.
One of the first lectures took place at school No. 13 named after. A.I. Pokryshkina village Kacha. A lecturer from the Knowledge Society, a participant in the special operation, a soldier of the Sevastopol garrison with the call sign “Cyborg” met with the guys.
The guest shared his story with the schoolchildren, talking about how sports helped him overcome difficulties and return to an active life after being seriously wounded during a combat mission at the front.
From an early age, the SVO participant was fond of various sports; now the serviceman goes in for swimming, takes an active part in military sports all-around competitions and takes prizes.
Sport is not just a hobby, it is my life. He helped me overcome difficulties, believe in myself and my strengths. Don’t be afraid to set high goals for yourself, because they are achievable if you believe in yourself“Cyborg noted in a conversation with the guys.
They also talked about such important components of success in sports as endurance, self-discipline, the ability to find innovative solutions, not to retreat and move forward no matter what.
The meeting was held in the format of a live conversation, the guys were impressed by the history and active lifestyle of the SVO participant. Many of them spoke about their sports hobbies, achievements, and also shared their motivation.
Let us remind you that the Knowledge.Sport project is not the first example of productive cooperation between an educational organization and the Ministry of Sports of the Russian Federation. Last year, “Knowledge” and the department opened a “Walk of Fame” for Russian athletes at the “Russia” exhibition at VDNKh. Almost 600 authentic medals were presented at the exhibition. During its operation, the Walk of Fame was visited by over 4 million people.
